Annual General Meeting Minutes
June 22, 2015

Ken Phipps, Sonya Fitak, John Fitak, Hillary Forbes, Valerie
Lau, Diana Hankes, Nan Stangler, Alicia Shipman
Financial Statements for 2014 and 2015 to date
were passed out.
The meeting was called to order at 7:20 pm by
President Hillary Forbes.
1.Minutes
of 2014 Annual General Meeting were approved (motion made by
Paul, seconded by Diana.).
2.Treasurer's
report.
There are two entries that will no longer
appear in the section titled "Assets:"They are Midwest
Weekend Fund $500, and Deposit - Hales Corners Library $25.The treasurer and
others discussed that these items are not assets.The $500 for the
Midwest Weekend was a donation from our group to support the
weekend several years ago.The $25 deposit - Hales Corners Library also occurred
years ago when we were dancing there.The $25 will be
considered a donation.The
treasurer's report was approved (motion made by Sonya, seconded
by Chuck)
3.Midwest
Scottish Weekend
Attendance was 56 people.
The weekend made about $1000.Nineteen evaluations
indicated that people were pleased with the music, teachers, and
location, but not particularly pleased with the food.Planning for the
weekend is a lot of work.We
need a replacement for Diana on the Midwest Scottish Weekend
Committee.Terry
Garner was mentioned as a possible candidate to be on the
Committee.
4.New
business:
Next week, June 29, 2015, dancing will be at
Our Lord's.
Fall dance:The dance will be held at Our Lord's United Methodist
Church on Saturday Oct. 31, 2015.
Waukesha Highland Games:Sept. 5 and 6, 2015.Ken is the contact
person and is currently taking names of interested dancers.Our group will dance
twice a day, once inside and once outside.

Nan Stangler made a motion (Diana seconded)
that henceforth our dancing location on the 5th Monday of the
month should change from St. Paul's to Our Lord's.Discussion included
talk about cost, attendance, comfort, and the fact that
sometimes St. Paul's cancelsand we reschedule to Our Lord's anyway.The motion passed.Ken will contact St.
Paul's.Paul will
change the website and send a group e-mail when things are
finalized.
Music system.Diana, Val and Paul are committee members looking into
getting a new music system.A possible set-up would be a small laptop, speakers, and
a music program, similar to the system the Madison group and
others use.The
committee will report to the board when they have information.
Paul expressed appreciation to the board
members for their service last year.
Motion to adjourn the meeting (motion made by
Paul, seconded by Ken).The
meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
