2026 Halloween Dance

Halloween Shenanigans!
Whether you arrive as a kelpie, a mischievous redcap, a majestic highland spirit, or something wonderfully weird of your own creation, you’ll be swept into an afternoon of spirited Scottish country dancing and community mischief.
We’ll once again enjoy the music of Rare Privilege (Maria Terres, Amy McFarland, and Dave Mullen).
Costumes are admired, but not required

We’ll have a walkthrough starting at 11am if you want a chance to step through any of these with other dancers.
Milwaukee Scottish Country Dancers is now a cashless organization
This is helping us simplify transactions and spend less time handling payments so we can focus more on creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
There are a couple of option available for paying for the dance:
- Buy your ticket online ahead of time. This is our preferred option as it keeps the check in line short & allows us to have a custom name button ready for you at the door.
- Buy online at the door. A QR code will be available at the door to allow you to pay online with a credit card.
- Tap to Pay with a credit card at the registration table with our volunteers, just like you would at any store.

– 12:30-1:30 Set-up (Gym Closed)
– 1:30pm Check-In
– 2pm Dance
– 5pm Potluck Dinner
We welcome your help with tear-down and clean-up after the dance.
Many hands make light work.
Silent Auction
We’ll hold a silent auction during the dance that is a fundraiser for our group allowing us to expand programming, support new teacher training, provide scholarships and support our demo dancers.
You’re invited to contribute new or quality used items to the auction. You can download the form to fill out ahead of time or pick one up at the dance.
Bring your items to the auction table in the gym entrance any time before the dance starts at 2pm.
Potluck Dinner
We would like to invite you to join us for a potluck dinner after dancing. It’s an opportunity to enjoy great food and great company as we close out a great day.
If you are local, you are encouraged to contribute your culinary creations to our community dinner. If you’re joining us from out of town, you are welcome to contribute, but not expected to.
Dishes can be dropped off in the cafeteria any time before the dance. We have refrigerators and electricity for crockpots.

We do have dancers in the area who are willing to host you in their homes. If you are interested in this, please indicate that you would like local hospitality when you purchase your ticket.
